Icons dissapear ! ! !

As you can probably gather from the title, some of my icons keep disappearing. Heres an example:

I have a .zip file on my desktop and the icon is the windows one that it gives to things which it doesnt know the filr type of. But it knows how to run it because when you click on it it opens the windows unzip utility. So whats happened to the icon image, deleted? lost? DEAD? ;(

This also happens sometimes with word documents.



Any help from you guys would be a great help as this is quite annoying, windows obviously knows what the file is because it operates it and runs it properly but it cant seem to find any icon image for it???????
 
I downloaded it and when i try to run it, it gives the error shown in the attatched image. Any ideas what is wrong.
 
Ah, balls. I sorted it out now, it turns out that the version of tweakui is for XP sp1 or later, i dont have any sp's installed. I downloaded an older version of tweakui and installed it but the icon thingy didnt work. I then went into folder options -> file types -> had a look for ZIP but it wasnt there so i added it and said that it was a compressed archive, went back to a ZIP folder and the con was back to normal.
 
really, in my experience it slows your comp down a lot, is this true or not?? What added features would i get from service pack 1
 
I dont know the details on SP1, you would have to check microsoft to see what it covers, but I think it takes care of a number of security holes/glitches in the XP OS.
