ICQ 5 eats all the memory when I open it

Hi all,

I have a problem, when I open ICQ in the logging in process it eats all the memory and then all the virtual memory as well, if I reinstall it the problem goes away for a faw days and then comes back, I'm sick of reinstalling it.

I have tried to remove it completely including registry values and even formated my computer once, nothing seems to help.

Ideas anyone?

u r right, I'm sorry.
I will give u full details, The system is:
Intel 2.4 GHZ 533, Asus P4P800 SE, Gskill 256*2 MB 400 MHZ, Maxtor 80 GB IDE.
WINXP PRO SP2, VM is being managed by the OS, NIS 2006, ICQ 5.04.
Norton can't find anything, also running regularly ad aware SE and JV16.
