IDE cable

Hi, I have been a lurker for not very long, the basic malware removel topic in secruity has and is helping me out alot, so far it has helped me remoove over 200 bad things :)

Now I signed up to ask a question of my own. I want to get a 80wire 40pin IDE cables. I have heard that all ROUND cables are 80wire? Is this true? There is some I want to buy that are round blue uv reactive and have 3 connections one for motherboard and two dor devices. So i want to know if all round ones are 80wire 40 pin beause it does not say.

What it is that i want to buy is 2 ide ables 1 floppy, all blue uv reactive, 2 uv lights(one unit) and 2 blue led fans for 20$ is this a good price? Thank you.

the following is a edit post:
Also some times my "c" button on my keyboard stops working.Does this mean i need a new keyboard  or do i need to fix something with windows?

it's fine to use 80 wire cables for things that took 40 wire, like using 80 wire for cd drives is fine, but you don't want to use 40 for things that should be 80, like hard drives, cause it will slow down your drive speed considerably, and the price sounds pretty good to me, just make sure it isn't some trash that won't work

It doesn't say thats the problem.
about the keyboard? Just replace it and if it keeps doing it troubleshoot from there, keyboards are cheap so it isn't worth messing around with one

Right again geoff :P Seems like your the only one who understand's what I say.

Anyways I ended up finding everything seperatly, I didn;t relize shipping would be 18$

I got a cable pack for likr 6$, i got SIX BLUE/UV[together bult in] for 9$+6$shipping, On ebay it was a dutch auction, there was 60 availble and he had the bidding at 3$ each, when the guy made the auction i dont think he relized that people could just bid 3$ on each one of them, and they would all be sold at the same time, im thinking he wanted buy it now or something, but hey i got them for 3$ each heh.(dual packs) and I rtaded a friend a old psu of mine for 1 fan, so now i just need 2 more fans and im all set. and maybe a new psu or at elast a sleeving kit.

These cables i found, the ones i bought said ATA 100/133 on them so i knew it was right, hopeuflly this will spead up my harddrive a bit since i just has a flat ribbon 40 wire one right now. Would it be worth it to use the other IDE on my CD-rom drives, maybe it would speed it up when i use both at the same time? for cd to cd burning?
