ide hookups on mobo...

Hey, i am struggling a little on hooking the 2 ide cables to 2 hdds and 2 cd rom drives....Basically, one hdd is sata, which works fine and the other is hooked up as primary master on the first ide cable ...I hooked up the dvd writer and teh cd writer on the second ide and only the cd writer is detected...Am i hooking it up wrong? How do i hook it up properly?

Do you have both the DVD and CD drives set as master or slave? It should be set so either one is Master, and one is slave, or have them both on cable select (CS).

Sounds like a master/slave issue as Omega mentioned.
