Ideas for a 3.5" drive.

I was just looking at my machine and noticed i have an external 3.5" drive bay empty. What other types of devices can go in these bays? Besides Floppy drives, fan controllers and card readers.

You could convert it into a mini shelf for something like a phone.

I've seen a few LCDs here and there that fit in the 3.5" bay.

Fan speeds, CPU/mem clocks, date, time, I suppose. I'm sure there are more creative alternatives though, maybe a little visualization or spectrum analyser when you have some music playing?

i was looking at something on some website once that looked somewhat neat, it was a little drawer with a cig lighter, but i'm thinking that may have been for a 5.25" slot not 3.5"

I just widend it with a Dremel and installed some gluides

this is supposed to be for ideas on what to do for a 3.5 inch drive bay, the only way that would work is if you were a chinese woman with bound feet. Even then i would remain skeptical.
