IE 6 Reqd Programs Question

I just had my pc reloaded with XP Pro and was wondering what programs are required to use IE 6 properly;

answer works runtime Ver ?

sun java Ver ?

Not sure if these are actually required, and I am not sure what other programs are required so that IE 6 will work properly.
