IE and Media Player... Codec?

So I did a fresh install of XP Home last week and everything is running smoothly except when Im on the internet, watching videos. Flash player works fine, other random stuff works fine watching vids. But anytime it uses Media Player, its got sound, but theres no video. Like on mycrazyvideos.com, all those are wma or whatever. So when I try and watch one, theres no picture.
I have gotten all Windows updates, and Media Player works fine on the videos I have on my hard drive. What the heck is the deal?
Someone told me there was some codec pack I needed. k-pac . or somthing like that. Ive dome many an XP install and never had this problem. Help would be much appreciated.

I believe the codec pack they were referring to was KLITE MEGA CODEC PACK , but you shouldn't need it to view Native M$ audio/video formats!!

Sounds like maybe a web streaming issue?

I dunno, I wouldnt think so either. Everything worked fine before I did the fresh install. I dunno why I have audio, but no video. It aint like it doesnt work at all, theres just no video. And its only with the Media Player files.

I Agree with this, i use DIVX and i works a treat!

I rolled back to media player 10 and same issue. I downloaded and installed the divx codec and It workrd. Unfortunately I thaought to go back to Media Player 11 and now no more worky.

Ahh I found that CCC pack works great along with VLC media player.
