ie history?

For some reason I cannot delete my history in ie I have tried ccleaner and window washer and went to tools, internet options, clear history and when I click on the history button everything is still there?????????? what gives????

Is there some kind of setting I dont know about that might have got changed? I can open history and right click on each place I visited and select delete and it will delete it then but that takes so long...any ideas>

Seriously, it could be a corrupt IE6 - you can reinstall it, only I believe you need to alter a registry setting first.

What do you mean "when you click on the history button everything is still there"? Where is the history button you click on?

ok, make sure you can see all files/folder, and systems/hidden files/folder (open my computer/Tools/Folder options/View tab. After that go to C:\Documents and Settings\"your user account"\Local Settings\History\ you should see Today, Last week, and so on... go into each one and delete everything inside.

from my past experience, I suggest you using "system mechanic". it is a gorgeous small neat tools to help you clean those kinds of useless files and history record.
