Hey i'm running Vista and i've recently stopped using explorer.exe (i logon and run a taskkill script) cause it's shite as with everything microsoft makes, anyway now internet explorer sometimes crashes/takes ages to load especially when loading videos.

Is this related? How can i solve this without using explorer.exe

cheers FB

you disabled explorer.exe and didnt get all kinds of other problems? im surprised, that is a pretty crucial part of the windows operating system

Not especially most of it's operation is exploring files... hence it's name. I guess it's a plugin problem seeing as the only thing IE has issues with are videos but it does work, eventually. anyway really need to know if it would be solved with another browser and/or any other suggestions?

Do you know that the Internet Explorer is a part of explorer.exe?
You can type My Documets on the address bar on IE and it will redirect you to your own computer, meaning iexplorer.exe is pretty much as explorer.exe, though without the icons on the desktop.
Through explorer.exe you can browse the INternet.
Please do not act someone, and enable explorer.exe as it is meant to be on use for you.

As helpful as your post is i'm not going to use Explorer cause it's crap, plus i don't like firefox either so my options for browser are limited. Seeing as i'm not getting any help here, i'm going to search somewhere else.
