IE7 Annoyances

there's probably something I'm nor grokking here but I can't figure out how IE7 decides what window size it will use when I open a new window.

I would like it to default to always opening a full size new window but now as it is it "remembers" some size from a previous window opening and goes to that size - most annoying!

any ideas?

I found that not closing windows that are not full size helps.
