If i delete files off a usb on a PC, will țhe files be left on computer?

If I delete files off a usb on a PC will the files come off the USB and onto the PC or recycle bin?

To totally delete off usb, do you have to reformat the USB?
 
Windows computers do not consider the USB drive as an internal part of the system and the deleted files from USB will be deleted permanently and will not move to the Recycle Bin.
 
To answer the second question, I don't remember ever having to reformat/reset a USB stick after deleting something off of it.

But what caught my attention here is all the years I have used USB sticks, I never thought to consider the question asked about the OS and USB drive connection when a file/folder is deleted from the stick. An interesting question, when given more than a brief thought.
