If you could invest in Intel, AMD, or nVidia...?

Hello!

I'm working on my final project for one of my graduate classes, and I'd need your honest, objective opinions.

If you had an amount of money, let say $100 mil, to invest in AMD, Intel, OR nVidia, by looking at their financial info, and their roadmaps, current and future investments, who would you go with?

Who do you think has the edge now and will have it in the near future?

Thanks for your help!

I dont know why you said Nvidia but not ATI?

Personally im an intel man, but AMD has no where to go but up. Intel is reaching their peak...

Well, since Intel and nVidia both specialize in different products, I would invest in both Intel and nVidia.

Intel, currently, is the leading company in CPU processors, and possibly, in the world.......
nVidia, seemingly, is the leading company in GPU processors and video cards, and too, possibly, in the world......

If I had to choose one of the two, I would choose Intel because they provide a lager market because you can have a computer without an after-market graphics card......

Trizoy brings up a good point but once a company reaches a monopoly, it's hard to break it......

Edit: AMD bought ATi.......

Thank you for your prompt response! Great info!

But, since AMD bought ATI, that was the reason why I was also considering nVidia, their market share will increase. Dell is now selling AMD processors, is getting into quad core CPUs, as well as supercomputing, kindof makes you think? Also that it's AMD that's supporting next gen graphics for the new G5's...

Then since AMD bought ATi, nVidia announced close partnership with Intel (and who makes best chipsets for AMD?)....

I'm very torn right now....

Yeah, it's supposed to be pretty spanky too! Won't it support Intel processors ? From AMD??

Graaah! It's NOT an easy decision!

I actually am messing with Intel, AMD stocks I purchased both. You would think that Intel would be the way to go but aparently their stock recently was actually going down so I sold it. AMD barely went down yet kept going up.

I havent looked into nVidia but the Taco Bell stock is actually doing good same with Best Buy.

You have to look at who is making the most profits right now... It certainly isn't AMD. Who is going to give you the best return? I would suspect Intel at the moment, but I'm not an investor.

I'd invest in AMD. With their latest R600 core about to come out, not to mention their suspected GPU + CPU chips in one.. I'd take my chances ;)

Actually, thinking about it, AMD is probably going to see a rise in stocks when they release their DX10 cards and their solution to Core 2 Duo so it would probably be a good idea to invest in them......

AMD has simply a better-run company, and right now, their P/E ratio is a hair better than Intel. i wouldn't but nVidia, since you want to stay diversified.
