IIS and FTP

I'm attempting to set up the IIS FTP server and eventually the web server, but i'm running into difficulties. I set up the FTP server, point it towards the folder I want as a source and set the permissions. I made sure to set the folder permissions to allow the FTP service to access the contents too. Once I have it all configured, it shows the ftp sight with (stopped). I right click and go to run and it flashes an error saying "the request is not supported". Any idea what's going on?

This problem could be caused by running multiple sites.
Have you added a new ftp site, or configured the default ftp site?

i'm running one site. I've tried deleting the sight and remaking it several times....same problem
