im kinda new to computers. im building my first computer. im looking at a XFX nForce 750a Motherboard and in the specs it says that it uses an ATA/100 hard drive. what type of hard drives are compatible with that? like SATA? any help plz!!
okay thanks a bunch, ive got another one. what about an EVGA nForce 730a Motherboard? im gettin it from tiger direct with a 6000+ 3.0Ghz AMD x2. what hard drives will it support? and when you say 3g on the hard drive what kinds does that include, like the SATA/300 or what?
will just regulat SATA 3.0 g/s work or does it have to be SATAII? and if it does have to be SATA II where can i find one cuz i cant find it on tigerdirect or newegg?

Sata II and 3.0 is the same thing. Its really called Sata II, (second generation). It can have rates up to 300MB/s / 3.0Gbit/s. Thats why you see them called Sata II or 3.0 blah blah blah.
