Does that look good for a Sims enthusiast? lol

Yes that computer comes assembled. If you are going to be playing just the sims I would say everything is good except see if you have an option of a 9600gt Video Card instead. The game play will be much smoother for you.

yeah I'm not going to spend a lot of money. That's why i'm not even going to buy this computer. Even though it's really nice. I dont feel like i'm thinking all my options through. What if I just get a cheaper desktop and add my own nvidia. cant i do that? Make sure i find something with enough RAM and I should be set right?

You really should consider building yourself. The resources available today help you through the whole process. And if you get stuck you simply post on here and someone gives you the answer. You can get a much better computer for the $$$ in the long run. For example in 10 minutes i put this together at newegg. Total cost including shipping is $514.51. Then there is also a $30 rebate on top of that dropping the whole thing under $500.00. You can upgrade/downgrade the list how you want. Take a look and dont be afraid. Ive got my first build showing up monday and Im totally confident it will work out fine.

You're right. I should build my own. But I have NO idea what I'm doing. No idea at all. Lets say I make out my wishlist...I don't know every single thing that I need in order to make a computer. And lets say you guys help me out with that, and I get everything that I need. I don't know how to assemble a computer! :(

I just built you a whole machine for under 500. Get some opinions on what if anything to change to keep the same budget. Build your list and once you are happy with it buy it and youll feel much better in the end. And if you ever want to upgrade youll know how to do it.

basic and premium are the same... you just dont get aero

I think basic only supports like 1 or 2 gb of ram also....
I know for sure there is a difference in the amount of ram they support, just not exact....-when I read about it I was like what the heck? I didnt know that...lol

it's like 4 or 8 gb. There's a few other differences too, home premium definitely is better.

The components in this list Linux0009 picked are pretty good, however I would change the $70 case for a $37 one and also get a third party heatsink. The Intel heatsinks are poor quality.

Rosewill R103A Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - $37
