I'm going to buy a gaming notebook

im looking into alienware notebooks as my main choice. The only problem i have is that they are a little expensive ($1300+). I was wondering if there was any way i could find a NEW older model of alienware for cheaper.

Not really if your looking newer used check ebay/craiglist or kijiji would be your best bet!

But then you would most likely be paying more for the used as it is a alienware and you wont get your monies worth. Gaming laptops will cost you more because of the GPU if your wainting to play the latest games it will cost you dearly,!

if your looking for a decent gaming laptop hp and gateway make some decent gaming. I know gateway builds a laptop with a 2.26 Ghz dual core, 4 GB memory and a nvidia 9800m GT graphics card for I believe 1200$.

is allienware even any good last i heard from that boat was that Dell had brought them out then most advertisiments and so on about then in NZ ceased

How about the new Asus X59Sr? It's $999 at Allasus.com and if you mention you heard about it on this forum, you'll save an additional $100.
