Im in the market for a new camera, please help

Im in the market for a new camera.


So let me see if i can explain what im looking for..
I need a camera that will get the job done!

Im not into photography as a hobby, i takes pictures of cars and what not.
Im a drag racer and often have someone take footage of me racing.
So i need something that is capable of video, possibly HD video, but 1080p is not needed. 720p is fine.
Need something for everyday use, i will not buy a DSLR. I do not want to
have to buy 5 different lenses just so i can take a few pictures.
Im looking for something i can tote around and pull out and snap a picture with.

Ive got 4 cameras in mind, as ive asked about this on 2 other forums. Neither of them are computer or camera related forums. I figured this place would be my next stop before i go registering on another forum.

Not to thrilled about spending roughly $400 for a camera.
You get the idea of what im wanting to do.

Maybe there is another camera out there for me?
Something not as expensive?

I don't know a lot about point a shoot cameras, but I have used the SX20, and it was a very nice camera. Felt well built, and had good AF(Auto Focus), and great IQ(Image Quality). I have picked the L100 up at best buy before, it felt nice, but that's all I can say about it. I'm going to have to recommend the DMC-ZS3 though. My friend just got one, and it's one heck of a camera. It's small but does everything those bigger P&S do. I have also had a couple of lumix cameras including a DMC-FZ8, and a TZ5, and they where both awesome.
