I'm looking for ram for my mothers computer

My mother has a e-machine T2792 desktop computer. It only hase 256 ram installed but I think it can be upgraded to 2GB. Can someone point me to a link for 2 GB of ram that will work for this machine. I read somewhere that it takes PC2100 DDR SDRAM DIMMs type ram but when I search for this I get all kinds of different types. I don't fully understand all the different types myself. Can someone point me to good cheap memory? I want to buy it for her for her birthday which is in a few weeks.

All of them can use up to 2GB of RAM.

PC1600, PC2100, PC2700, PC3200... it's all good. It will run at whatever your FSB runs at times a fixed multiplier. That means you can put in PC3200 RAM and it will still run okay at lower speeds. That means that anything on this page should work:

Yes this is what was confusing for me....I was not sure if I had to stay with the PC2100
