OK Here go's -
I have a Vista Home Premium laptop which I use as my all round desktop/portable laptop machine. I am doing a tafe course to further improve my experience to getting a job. I haven't had much experience with macs except loving the design of them. I run a website for my support group. I am thinking of getting an Mac desktop comp so I can get more experienced with them and can help others who have problems with them if i come across others as I do local work for friends, word of mother etc. Would the Mac be any good to work on the website with (photos, etc) as I heard they are mainly good for design and such.

Sorry if I am all over the place.
Mainly
1) Would it be worth getting a Mac to get play around with and get more experienced with them.
2) Would I be able to do my website on them more better such as photos etc
3) I do local jobs such as install new hardware, security for friends word of mouth and would getting a mac help me with others who have macs or would i be able to work out fairly ok
4) Would it be worth well for these things or just stick with vista and just find somewhere i can use mac and save money

Thanks in advance for any input

If you have the money, I'd say go for it.

I know quite a few people who have macs and I feel bad to tell them IDK JACK about macs.

Go for it :)

ok thanks for replies - found a mac place near me and can get second hand emac for $200 .
one other question - would the mac wireless connect to my linksys wireless g wrt56g router?

New-generation Macs look very pretty but are sitting on top of that crudelooking, text-based UNIX, the most secure os that's widely used. Yes, I highly recommend a mac. In matter of fact I have one. However, Macs are priced a bit more than your average Dell or eMachines machine, and you cannot legally run Mac OS X on a PC even thoughit is now Intel based.

If you like graphics apps and/or multimedia apps, Mac is a great system. Most desktop Macs can be orederd with the Mac flatscreen (itll work with PCs of course) that gives you a lot of screen real estate.
