Image problems

When I turned my PC on this morning, it turned all my jpeg images from my hockey card collection into GIF images, now I can't open my pictures. I am running 98SE. Help would be nice.

what exactly changed ur file types?????

That's the problem, they werejpeg yesterday, and today the are all GIF. I didn't do it, it happened automatically this morning.
