Image Ready and Photoshop?

ok i have Adobe Image Ready and Adobe Photoship CS 9, and i have always wondered what is the real differencebetween the 2?

what is one good for that the other isn't?

basically PS CS2 has alot more features than IR CS2. Plain and simple.

alright so if u have PS CS2, there is no point in using IR?

I mainly use Image Ready for making .gif animations etc.

oh yes I forgot that IR is useful for making gif animations.

cs = graphic manipulation
