Imapi.exe

I just reformatted and installed XP. I must have disregarded my need for the Imapi Service (through NLiteOS) and requested it not to be installed.

Where can I get this again?

Using NLite, I must have removed Imapi's registry entries from ever being written and, as well, removed the exectuable itself.

I know the typical "go help yourself, reinstall, and quite wasting our time" reply just might be inching off of your lips. (I don't mean to be accusational; I'm only speaking in possibility.) I'm only taking my loss of the Imapi service to better understand how they work, how they can be patched/modified, and how I can essentially and more profoundly understand Windows.

Would you happen to know what it would take to re-enstate this service?

With registry entries removed and something gone in Windows the one method to restore Windows without a full reinstallation of the OS is a repair install. This will replace entries as well as any main files removed. This will however require having a recovery or full install XP disk onhand. Review the article on this at http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

This preserves the bulk of the current installation while you may have to reinstall some drivers like those for video and sound as well as for the board. But you made the changes there that require something on this idea. You kind of put yourself in the "go help yourself" catagory there sorry to say.
