The story continues after this thread :
http://www.computerforum.com/181734-separating-system-data.html
After separating system and data, I was ready to execute my other plans.
In spite of using
- all kinds of cleaning softwares
- all kinds of registry softwares
- all kinds of AV/AS/AT-scanners
- Windows Add/Remove Programs and/or specialized uninstalling softwares
I asked myself, why are so many users still getting in trouble on a regular base, including me.
Something wasn't right and the only possible logical explanation was that none of these cleaning softwares and scanners, did a very good job.
First I bought, a decent Image Backup Software (ShadowProtect Desktop) to solve the worst disaster-scenarios : physical disk-crashes and very destructive malware.
Then I installed FirstDefense-ISR, the king of all "Immediate System Recovery (ISR)"-softwares and all my problems were gone in one hit.
I can try and test any software and get rid of it completely, without using
Windows Add/Remove Programs or specialized uninstalling softwares or cleaning softwares or registry cleaners.
After each reboot I have my clean, original system back in less than 2 minuts.
My reboot also removes two kinds of malware : discovered malware and undiscovered malware.
After 3 years working without scanners, I scanned my computer with the very best scanners and they couldn't find anything, not even a tracking cookie, because there is nothing to detect on a clean system.
Later on :
- I installed Anti-Executable to kill the enemies of FirstDefense-ISR.
- I installed Sandboxie to secure my data on disk-D, when I'm surfing on the internet.
The funny thing is that my 3 security softwares, don't even know what malwares is or even recognize it.
End of boring story
