I'm thinking of building a new pc but i usually suck when in comes to computers. The thing is in my new computer i'm gonna be re-using my old hard drive. Does this mean that i won't need to worry about installing the OS or whatever? I know i'll need to download and install drivers and stuff but is there anything else i need to know with regards to software? (Apologies in advance if this sounds like utter noob-fodder)
 
typically you can't just stick a hard drive in to another computer, you might be able to use an xp disk to "repair a windows installation" then reinstalll all the drivers, but if that doesn't work you will need to reformat
 
Do you have your original xp disk??
that is if you are using xp
if not you just need the os disk
