Importing favorites

I just got a new computer and want to copy my IE7 favorites into the new computer. I made a copy of the IE favorites file I got from program files (i think). How can I copy these favorites into IE? It should be the right file, when opened it list all the favorites. I saves the file to desktop and when I tried to import from IE from the desktop I get a file name of bookmark. When i try to open it just says "select bookmark file". I change it and nothing works. Thanks

your favorites folder is at C:\Documents and Settings\whatever user you are\favorites. just put them in there.

I tried that but it didn't work. This is what happens when I try to import the favorites file to IE. I didn't name this file bookmark. When I try to open I get this screen. (see pic).

i've always just copied the favorites from the location i told you, to that same location in a new computer and they are there. no importing. just manually putting them where ie looks for them.
