importing video from DVD to editing program?

My friend went sky-diving and received a DVD video of his skydive. He gave it to me so I can edit it, add music, ect.

This is my first time doing this and I'm lost on how to upload it to Adobe Premier.

Here's what I see when I go to "Explore"
exploreah4.jpg

I open the first folder, "VIDEO_RM" and I see this:
rmxw8.jpg

I go to the second one, "VIDEO_TS" and I see this:
tshc1.jpg

Can someone please tell me how to go about importing the video to a video editing program (Premier).

Thanks!

I don't know if this would work or not, but there's a program called Super that will basically convert any file to anything else(and to everyone else, this is NOT a DVD-Ripping program!) I'd say give it a shot... See if it'll work with any of the files. If not, I'd suggest going to videohelp.com(also where you can find Super) I'm sure they have more experience extracting such videos.

How about if I open the video and somehow capture it and save it into my harddrive (not sure what it's called, or what program to do it with) --same as if I were to capture audio from my soundcard into my harddrive.

--im lost lol

If you know of a program that'll do that :P I don't know of any right off that'll capture video overlay... Easiest thing, if you have firewire, is to just capture the video from the camera. Or, if I had some more time, I'd offer to edit the video...for a little $$$ *snickers* Video editing's my side hobby/business...
