Hello All, Brandy new guy here, love this forum and plan to spend more time on it.
Now I need your advise! I want to buy an add on card so I can watch TV on my puter from time to time. Wife hogs the TV for show that suck and from timne to time I'd like to watch a decent movie so I opted to find out whats out there to add to my system. Too many options, and I'm lost!! My system is an AMD Athlon 3000, 1 gig ram, 120hd, Nvidia 6200 video card and a 19" Samsung LCD monitor. I run the monitor through the digital side of the card and I have regular cable at my house, not hdtv. What card do you guys recommend. Budget around 100 bucks. Is this possible? What about the quality of the picture? Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks RK

I have bought this card:

I got it for my mom it's very easy to use, well within your budget, compact(and assuming you use pci slots should work)The software that comes with it is pretty good and was easy to setup. I have no complaints about the quality of the reception and it's made by a well known and respected company which means great customer service if anything goes wrong.

If you'd like to see some other options try newegg:

The WinTV PVR 150 is a great card. The quality is amazing and it has true hardware MPEG2 compression(almost no conversion for DVDs) You also don't have to connect it to your sound card. This typically prevents sync problems.
