Hi. I bought two black cartridges for my HP F2280. When I installed one of them (tried the other as well) I got the message that the cartridge is not compatible (and it said something 'with current configuration/settings). Is there a solution to this? The cartridges are not original however it says hp21 on them which is the correct number.

Every cheap replacement cartridge I have ever come across has either failed to work or damaged the printer.
You may find no matter what you do the printer will not accept the cartridge, this may actually be blessing as it may have damaged the printer.
I would stick to genuine Hp cartridges.
