i am using nero7 to burn cds and dvd. but when i add a file the filename gets shortened to a few characters instead of the original name. how do i avoid this?
 
If I'm not mistaking, that's a limitation with the filesystem used on CDs... Or at least one of them. Check in your preferences and see if you might be able to select another file system.
 
thanks The_Other_One.it does solve the problem.one more question though. there are three filesystems:
ISO 9660(this was what i had earlier)
ISO 9660+Joliet
ISO 9660:1999
which one is better?
can i use diff filesystems in the same cd/dvd
 
most commercial cd-roms are strictly 9660 for the best compatability, and joliet and 1999 are still iso 9660, but allow certain rules to be ignored, with reduced compatability with standalone hardware, and you also lose useage with command line-based systems

and no, one system per cd
