I have a 1 Megabit Per Second Internet Connection.
The Internet line is connected to my Router and then my router is connected to my computer.
But the ISP requires me to use their login client before I can browse the net.
They have given me a username and password.
I wanted to know can I arrange for my Router to log in for me, so that my computer needn´t be turned on all the time for the wifi to work.
I have to log in using their assigned username and password.
I do not dial a connection.
My Router is Linksys WRT 120N.
Another Problem
Another problem is my ISP uses some machine ID,which it binds to my username. And I am pretty sure it is not my MAC ID since,I have given my Router's MAC ID to be bound to my username.
The problem is whenever I boot into windows 7 I can log in using their given client.
But when I boot into Ubuntu I cannot log in using their given client and it prompts an error saying that the machine id has changed and it cannot log in.
So when I called up my ISP support, they fixed it and I was able to log in in Ubuntu, but then when I booted to Windows 7 it displayed the same error and then again I had to call my ISP.
Any ideas??
