Inconvenient ISP

I have a 1 Megabit Per Second Internet Connection.
The Internet line is connected to my Router and then my router is connected to my computer.
But the ISP requires me to use their login client before I can browse the net.
They have given me a username and password.

I wanted to know can I arrange for my Router to log in for me, so that my computer needn´t be turned on all the time for the wifi to work.
I have to log in using their assigned username and password.
I do not dial a connection.

My Router is Linksys WRT 120N.


Another Problem

Another problem is my ISP uses some machine ID,which it binds to my username.And I am pretty sure it is not my MAC ID since,I have given my Router's MAC ID to be bound to my username.
The problem is whenever I boot into windows 7 I can log in using their given client.
But when I boot into Ubuntu I cannot log in using their given client and it prompts an error saying that the machine id has changed and it cannot log in.
So when I called up my ISP support,they fixed it and I was able to log in in Ubuntu,but then when I booted to Windows 7 it displayed the same error and then again I had to call my ISP.

Any ideas??

Ok let me get this right, you have a hard wired connection from your main box to the router yes?

You want to connect to the router using a machine that has wireless yes?

No.
I want the Router to log in for me instead of me installing a client on every computer using the internet and then logging in when my PC is turned of.
Since that client cannot be installed on Phones and other mobile devices.
 
This is confusing, are you saying that you have multiple wifi capable machines that you want to access this singular router?
 
Ok let me give an example.(Assume that my PC is turned of which has the client installed)
I have a Phone which has wifi capabilities.
So I want to use internet on my phone using the wifi connection at home.
But I cannot do that since I have to log in with my ISP´s given Username and Password using my ISPs given Client.
I want my router to log in for me, since I cannot install the client on my phone how can I use the internet without turning on my PC.
 
To my mind you would only be able to get on the net on the phone via your network provider not your internet provider.

The phone is not a pc.

Not sure if it will work but you may be able to set this up in your router. You can set it to dial in using pppoe. Look on page 5 of the manual, it will tell you how to set it up. If you don't have the manual, you can get it here.

Tried it but it did not work.
It does not need to dial a connection it just needs to log in using the given Username.

That sounds wack i have never heard of a internet connection like the one your describing, even the one i used in thailand just had the username and password in the router, like mine here in the uk, and it was just connected all the time, any device connected to it would be able to use the internet without and further login details.
Does you ISP not have a connection like this, or another ISP? or does it not work like that in india?
 
Some of the local ISPs do have connections like these,but the well known ones have proper service but really poor plans.
It does not work this way for all the ISPs.
 
The unit is a modem/router in one, yes?

You should just be able to enter your isp username/password into the modem/router and that should be it, all of your devices should be able to connect. Is your wireless encrypted?

I was using WPA 2 but then I switched to MAC filtering and no key.

I have one which is a modem+router but the problem with that is it expect a normal phone line as an Internet line,but my internet line is an ethernet cable.
 
I see now.

You can find modem/routers that have a dual jack sort of thing, where you can either plug in a phone cable or ethernet cord, and are still a modem, not just a switch or access point. You might have to find one of those.
