While I am on different computers I often come across sites I would like to use later. Is there a universal site that confidentially holds such information I can access anywhere?
 
Not sure what your asking. sounds like favorites. what web browser you using.
Put it on a micro drive and carry in your pocket. or back it up on the internal drive.
 
You can use Google Drive [Google's addition] or ZUma Drive [Yahoo's addition].
Both of these drives are onlinet storage and you can acess them from any computer as long as there is internet connection.
 
There are several online bookmarking solutions. I use xmarks, which will synchronize bookmarks with firefox, google chrome, and internet explorer, though I believe you need a plugin, which may not be an option on public machines.

I have heard some suggest using a portable browser run from dropbox, but I would think that would be a similar kind of problem...

Perhaps delicious?
 
Why not simply E-Mail the information to yourself and access your E-Mail on all machines to get the information at a later date?
