dont forget the reduction in lifespan of the overclocked device,

its safe provided you dont do anything stupid like 500mhz overclocks at a time
from what ive seen, i also test my new confuguration with prime 95 to check

its a trial and error though and ive heard of cpus frying as a result of poor cooling and stupidity BUT generally safe

No amount of cooling and preventative measures can protect against stupidity and lack of common sense. :D

very very true, but you need to know the extent to which your cooler can manage things so things dont get a little hot

For most people that just means "put a HSF on it" :D
