Input Not Supported

My computer upon restart went to 800x600 resolution, I changed it but my browser kept maximising weirdly, so I decided to put it to max resolution of 1600x1200 or something, apparently my monitor cant handle this. So it gave me a grey moving box and black background of "Input not Supported"

I had to hard shut down the PC via the on/off button as I Alt F4 wasnt working and I was using the mouse blind due to it being a black background.

I turn it back on, now the password screen has the issue, black background, flashing Input not supported, and ive typed the password in, it works. unfortunately, I am working blind to attempt to get into control panel etc....

I am now worried I am going to have to buy a super resolution screen just to use my PC.

My PC and Monitor are from Acer, who I will never buy from again if they didnt see this blatantly obvious issue, I cant use anything because I cant see where my mouse is...I dont understand why it wont revert back?

Safe mode does not work

Get into safe mode options and choose enable vga mode. Then go in and cbange the resolution to the native resolution of your monitor. Then boot into regular mode.
