Insert key dead

Please can someone tell me what may be preventing both of the Insert keys from working on my keyboard. Because neither of them work I have had to set up a keyboard shortcut by accessing:- Tools; Customise; Keyboard; Categories; All Commmands then scroll down to "Overtype"! Though this option shows "Insert" as being the key to activate the feature, it does not work so I have allocated [Ctrl + Shift + I] (which was unassigned to any other shortcut) & that activates the function. Hi Mattsprattuk. Like me working late eh? Using a Logitech cordless keyboard and all the other keys are working OK, checked the language and that is set to English UK so that possibility is eliminated. Any other suggestions apart from trying another keyboard? Rupert. 12-02am here in the UK.
