instaled 4g ram, computer properties picks it up but task manager dosnt??

I have just installed 4gb of ballistix ram and it is picked up by the computer properties and on the start window on vista but not on the task manager, I still get low ram warnings when playing games. Dose anyone know why this is?

if you goto start right click computer then properties how much ram is showing there? also what operating system vista. is it 32bit or 64bit?
should have 64 for gig.

Its vista 32bit, on properties it pics up 8gb of ram just when i enter task manager it dosnt pick it up, is there a maximum of 3gb ram used in vista 32bit, could that be the problem?

3-1/2 gig. need windows 64 bit to recognize all memory.

dose updateing windows in the update window application increase the ram on vista 32bit?

No, you have to have 64bit Windows.
