Hi all! I just built my AWESOME new gaming pc but I have no OS (I'm on my 3 year old laptop right now, and this is my first EVER own desktop I'm going to use). In this new computer I have a DVD writer/reader but it doesn't work, i.e it won't open even if all the power is on and the LED light is glowing green when I press it. Now, I've downloaded Windows 7 Home Edition 64-bit in ISO form and going to (try
) install it on my new pc from a USB. Here is my question; I don't have a product key for Windows 7 (other than the one on the bottom of this laptop) BUT I AM going to buy a key next time I get money. So can I install Windows 7 on the new pc, skip product key production and then buy a key from Microsoft's Online store in 2 weeks or so, (Is that even possible?) and then activate that so I use a "legal" copy of Windows 7?
Thanks
