install windows 8 from iso file

i downloaded windows 8 from dreamspark as i am a student. i have it burned to a dvd and was looking to install it now that school is over but im having a hard time installing it ive looked all over and cant really find a how to. id like windows 8 to just take over windows 7. i do have ubuntu installed as dual boot but not really worried about loosing it as i can just download it again if i have too. can anyone help me out
 
Do you have an issue wiping the entire drive and doing a clean install? I always prefer that route over an upgrade install.
 
not really if it comes down to it i guess. i mean what all would i have to reinstall? now that school is done im deleting alot of old files i only have cain and able vmbox chrome which i can reinstall all of that if i have too
 
whats the big difference in the two? i also have microsoft office but i think i can redownload that ill have to check again tho
 
i finally figured out what i was doing wrong had it going and then at about 90 percent installed it failed. now when i insert the disc it now says setup unable to initialize startup folder any help?
 
got windows to install but wireless driver doesnt work how can i fix this? right now asus doesnt have my computer listed to work with windows 8? do i need ot go back to windows 7?
 
it doesnt even says it needs to be uninstalled when installing it trying like hell to find the right one intel has a driver for me but when i go to download it it says service unavailable
