Hey,
I was wondering if there is anyway to install windows vista onto a usb hard drive. If you plug it in and load the windows vista setup it has the drive listed by says underneath "Widows cannot be installed to this disk. Setup does not support configuration of or installation to disks connected through a USB or IEEE 1394 port."

Thanks,
Lochie

You just answered your own question there :P Why exactly do you wish to do this? The performance would be pretty bad and I'm quite sure you couldn't go between computers.

My guess is that he wants to use the OS and any programs on anyone else's PC instead of whatever's already installed, or he wants all the hard drives for data only. Just my guess.
