Install Windows XP to a USB Flash Drive

Hi, I was just wondering that, is it possible to install a full working copy of Windows XP on a USB Flash Drive? I have googled it and most of the websites prefer using a software called "BartPE Builder" to create a portable XP Live USB containing repair and recovery tools, but I don't want to install XP using BartPE as it is not a full working copy but a rather modified version of XP that has been 'miniaturized' to fit on a USB stick. What I am trying to say is, I would like to Install the original Windows XP Pro SP3 to a USB Drive from the XP installation DVD. So, please, can you help me by finding a way to install XP to a USB flash drive.
Thanks in Advance!

Thanks for the reply, but i don't want the BartPE version, i want the original version of XP, so please tell me the method of installing XP on the USB disk. I have heard that it is possible to do that.

I have heard that it is possible to do that.

From where?

It is impossible to install a full copy of XP to a flash drive and boot to it. Even if you did it on one computer and tried to run it on another, you wouldn't get it to run; too many hardware differences.

However if you want to try, fell free to try this guide (there's more than one on the page)

If you are trying to imitate the live boot of Linux, your dreaming.
If you just want to install Windows to a Flash key to have for testing purposes, or to have a unlocked down copy (like for work or school or such), it can be done. When you boot to the install CD, choose your flashkey as the place to install to. You only officially need a 1.5GB key to install to, but my windows XP installed with chrome and drivers totals 4.6GB. So get a 8-16GB key just to be sure.
