Either through software updates or emulation mode. I would make sure your programs cross over before updating.

Are you speaking of the hardware or the OS? 64bit hardware will run either 32 or 64bit software/OS just as well. If you are speaking of the OS, which one? Most 64bit modern operating systems will run 32bit code fine.
