Installed and new hard drive in a packard bell...

Ok, so my mom got an old packard bell and installed her hardrive now when she boots it up it says looking for Pri-Master. The thing is the hard drive that she is installing has all of her info and windows XP Home edition on it....any ideas that may help her out?

you have to reformat the harddrive and put a fresh copy of windows on it in order for it to work on the new computer.

QUESTIONS 101 If he put it in as a slave it'll be fine, if a master, you need to re-install windows.
