Installed new HD can't boot.

Hey,

My old hard drive was failing so I installed a new hard drive and installed windows on that. I copied all my files I needed from the old hard drive to the new one and removed the old drive.

Now with the old drive removed it won't boot. Just says: "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert media in selected boot device and press a key".

How can I install all the stuff to enable Windows to boot off that drive without reinstalling windows?

Thanks,

Tom

It sounds like your new HD isn't set to the primary boot device in BIOS. Go into BIOS and select your new HD as the primary boot device and it should start up. Also, check to make sure your cables are hooked up correctly as well. I know it sounds stupid but make sure the power cable didn't come loose or something like that.
