installed one win but 2 comes up in ms-dos

ive got a problem basically i built my computer about 6 months ago and when i built it i did a full format on the hard drive and installed windows xp pro on it but everytime i turn on my computer ms-dos runs as usual but instead of loading windows the ms-dos says which windows do you want to run??? i dont get it ive only installed one copy of windows on it any help. much appreciated
 
typically it will only do this if there's two system32 files I believe, the way to get rid of it is to delete the one you don't want, but since there probably aren't two, then you run into a problem. BTW, it's not really DOS that runs, it's still windows, startup disks don't need dos to run anymore starting I know with xp, maybe earlier
