i got a new graphic card and i put the card into my agp socket and im ready to install, but can i install it in safe mode?, also my old card was a nvidia geforce 2 mx 400. do i need to uninstall something of that? plz help

You shouldn't need to uninstall anything. Why in safe mode? You should be able to just stick it in, and have it work.

just stick the card in, like Bobo said, it may be pausy, just go on whatever maker videocard you got, and download the latest drivers, and you should be got 2 go...

Unistall all current video card drivers, turn off your computer, unplug your current video card, plug in your new video card, make sure its secure, turn on your computer and install the new drivers for your video card.

start>right-click my computer>properties>hardware, find your display adapter (video card), uninstall the drivers.

You said you had and nvidia card previously, so it would be a good idea to uninstall them otherwise you may run into problems, but it isnt a necessity.

Now if you can't load Windows besides in Safe Mode, your first priority should be to fix the problem you have, because you can't run many programs in safe mode.

cant install in safe mode. you play games in safe mode. should just be able to pop it in and have it work. also you would need the necessary drivers for your card.

Yes you can install progams in safe mode, I did it just fine. I just see no reason to do so.
