Installing a Power Supply Cooling Fan?

My old fan has been making noise so I just a bought a new Antec LED tricool fan 80mm. I took apart the power supply but noticed that the new fan has a 3 pin or a 4 pin connector. My power supply doesnt have a spot where I can connect a pin to. I think I can connect a pin to my motherboard but Im not sure where. Does anyone have any instructions for me?

Well, in reality you're not suppose to open your power supply due to the dangerous voltage levels in there... They can retain their power for quite a while...

If you MUST open it... As Ku-sama said, just run a cable to a molex connector or even the motherboard. Or, you could use the old fan wires...

thats the hard way which requires splicing and sorts...

Also, with plugging in a fan to the PSU's fan header, believe it or not, but if its a high performance fan, it can actually hurt the PSU's fan header

This is what Ku was talking about.

ok I plugged in the new fan into a 4 pin connector, the same one as my case fan. One last question...is it ok if I just cut the old wires to my old fan?

And if the fan is connected to a molex, it's going to recieve a constant 12v, which means that you can't change it (unless it has what Ku-sama said) and it going to constantly run on the highiest speed.
