Installing help needed for newbie

I have just replaced my ASUS P4SD-LA motherboard with a new identical one.

Everything installed ok, when I went to turn it on the power will only come on for about half a second before turning itself off. Everything is connected properly (I even took before piccys to make sure everything went back together right)

Any ideas? is there something I need to do when you replace/install a new board that I don't know of?

I am very new at this so I could be overlooking something simple or necessary.

Check that the motherboard is seated in the case properly and that nothing is shorting it out. Then go over the motherboard case connectors and make sure there not plugged in up side down or on the wrong pins. Have a look around the case and be sure there is no cables touching it.
