Hi,
I am going to buy a Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E430 which comes with 4 GB DDR3 - 1600MHz (1 DIMM). I am debating as to whether I should pay the extra $80 to upgrade to 8 GB DDR3 - 1600MHz (2 DIMM). Will this make is much faster? If I stick with 1 DIMM, I understand I can always add more RAM later, but are additions generic and easy to install (can I buy any brand, kind, etc or are they highly specific to the computer you have)?
Also, they offer a 16GB mSATA Solid State Cache Drive for an additional $40. I'm wondering how much faster this will make the laptop and if it's worth the money. Is this something that I can buy cheaper (and generically) later on if needed?
Thanks for your opinions!
