Installing the HSF

Ok, I've spent the last hour probably trying to get the Freezer 7 Pro onto my motherboard. This is supposed to be easy, but the damn clips won't snap! Finally I got three of the four, but the fourth one just won't go. It will somewhat snap, but then pop back out. I don't know if the plastic is just messed up or what.

Is it a good idea to take off the whole thing and start again, or will this mess up the thermal paste? Should I just leave it with three pins fastened?

This is extremely frustrating. :(

EDIT: From what I can see on the back of the motherboard, the pin is going all the way through and spreading out, but it's just not catching, so it gets pulled back a little bit.

Well, I just realized I put the HSF in facing the wrong direction, so I had to take it out anyway. Two pins snapped in very easily, with no effort. The third one won't even budge, and the fourth one is the same one that goes down, then pops back up. :(

Ok, at this point whenever I get one pin snapped in, the one diagonal from it pops out. I'm about ready to give up. ::cry::

You're doing the diagonal method right? Top left, Bottom right, etc.? I had to use some force for my Zalman and cut some fingers in the process but it's all good now.
