So I messed up ubuntu on my netbook and I was wondering if there is a way to install ubuntu from a usb though the bios?

I got it to install but my wirless doesnt work and it won't connect by ethernet either. I need to be able to get online to install my wireless drivers. Any ideas?

I got the os installed but like I said the wifi doesn't work cause I need to install my drivers, I plug in the ethernet and it shows that is plugged in but it says that I am not plugged in.

ok so if I understand this right your computer connects (AutoEth0 or something like that) but it will not give you any internet?

you might be able to get more information about what is going on if you right click on the connection and go to edit connections. I'm not too sure if any of that info might be helpful but it is worth a try imo. The other thing that I would check is the system testing program Ubuntu. It is under System -> Administration -> System Testing. I would think that there would be a way to check your internet connection in that.

I got it working, it is actually wierd. I have a blue ethernet cable that runs from the modem to the router, then from the router to my 360 is a white ethernet cable. When I use the blue cable that was coming directly from the modem it wouldn't work but when I used the white cable running from the router to the 360 it worked, kinda odd. I am able to read the post cause I have more then one computer.
