Installing Vista

So, i have Vista ultimate ready to install.

Im running XP now. But i dont want anything on xp to be transferred. We have some viruses and such.

I want vista to start out on a blank hard drive, how should i format my HD right now so i could start out fresh with vista.

In other words, is there a program i should format my drive with first, or when i go to install vista will it give me an option to format my HD.

Vista should give you the option to format everything on the hard drive.

put disk in... RUn disk and select "clean install" or something of that nature.


I booted from the vista cd, then it loaded XP and brought up a dialog box. this option was in there somewhere.
